Birth Blessing Philosophy

Labor Doula Philosophy

Families deserve to be well informed and completely supported when it comes to labor and childbirth. My birthhope for women is that they realize how strong they really are. Birth is a natural, normal process. Not a disease or sickness. You do not have to be treated when you are in labor, you need to be honored and supported.  I want to be able to give families all the information they need to make decisions for themselves and be confident in those decisions. Having a Labor Doula will help you to have the birth you desire.

Postpartum Doula Philosophy

As every labor is different, every family is different. When the postpartum period (after baby) begins it is a huge transition for the family. It is an emotional time, an exciting time and also can be overwhelming.  Whether you have a singleton or multiples, families need to have a support system to help them deal with their new found emotions and new physical challenges. Moms deserve to be well taken care of during this time. Whether it be a warm comforting meal, a quiet bath, or a good long nap.
My services are available for day or overnight hours.

As a Postpartum Doula, I will provide you with non-medical, emotional, physical and spiritual support. I also have been known to be the baby whisperer so whatever challenges you may be facing with your newborn, I will be there to help guide you, problem solve and educate you on ways to soothe and comfort your newborn. I also offer baby wearing strategies and realistic sleep solutions for your newborn.
